Trivial sample of Schroedinger equation solvable, in terms of
polynomial wave functions, via its approximate reduction to the
Gauss hypergeometric equation. At present, the unbelievably multiple
``rediscoveries" of the underlying trick (well known, e.g., from the
elementary textbooks like S. Fluegge, Practical Quantum Mechanics,
Springer, Berlin, 1971, part I, p. 186) belongs among the most
popular and deplorably efficient weapons against the ``publish or
perish" threat.
